US President Joe Biden warns Russia against invading Ukraine saying that the human cost will be “immense”. It follows claims that Russia has started to withdraw its troops from the border.

The US president also acknowledged that the American economy could suffer as a result of the fallout.

“I will not pretend this will be painless. The American people understand that defending democracy and liberty is never without cost”, Biden said.
