Ukraine: Country's armed forces hold drills close to Crimea border

Ukraine’s Armed Forces (AFU) conducted battalion tactical drills in the Kherson region near the border with Crimea, as announced by Ukrainian Defence Ministry’s press service on Wednesday.

Reportedly, the exercise aimed to test the military’s ability to make timely and informed decisions.

Footage shows soldiers in combat conditions, firing at a simulated enemy, as well as military equipment.

The exercise involved a battalion of marines reinforced by a tank and army aviation helicopters unit.

“The personnel gained practice in combat, and commanders of all links worked out interaction in conditions close to combat,” was written on the press statement.
