Hundreds of people gathered for a torchlight procession through Kiev on Saturday, in honour of the 113th anniversary since the birth of Organisation of Ukrainian Nationalists (OUN) leader Stepan Bandera.

Attendees could be seen carrying swords, torches and far-right posters.

The annual march ended near the office of Pesident of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky. Police and National Guard officers followed the march all the way, but made no arrests.

The Israeli embassy in Ukraine condemned the torchlight procession on Saturday.

Bandera was leader of the militant arm of the Organisation of Ukrainian Nationalists (OUN) during World War II. He remains a divisive figure in Ukraine, with some hailing him as a liberator from the Soviets while others consider him to be a Nazi collaborator.
