Ukraine: Thousands attend "Unity March" in Kharkiv

A patriotic ‘Unity March’ was held in Kharkiv on Saturday.

According to media reports, about two thousand people took part in the event. Participants marched from Constitution Square to Freedom Square along Sumska Street, chanting patriotic slogans. People held banners against the Russian aggression, while Kharkiv residents holding a banner reading ‘Kharkiv is Ukraine’ were walking in front of the column.

According to media reports, the march participants did not use party signs at the request of the Kharkiv Defence Headquarters and public organisations, the event organisers.

According to the National Police of Kharkiv Region, law and order was ensured by 460 police officers and 100 members of the National Guard of Ukraine. Traffic safety was monitored by police patrol officers. The rally proceeded without clashes. There was no information about any detainees.
