‘US Leader Lands In West Bank For Talks’

The US Secretary of State Antony Blinken touched down in the West Bank on Sunday in his first visit to the Israeli-occupied terrirory since the conflict began on 7 October.

He met for talks with the Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas in Ramallah, where Abbas told Antony Blinken there must be an immediate ceasefire to the war in Gaza.

The US Secretary of State said he is committed to the realisation of a Palestinian state. The visit follows Hamas’ claims that Israeli airstrikes killed at least 38 people in a refugee camp in Gaza on Saturday night.
