Washington is still aiming to meet its August 31 deadline to withdraw its forces from Afghanistan as the USA has become wary of the risk of an imminent attack threat from the Afghanistan wing of ISIS, ISIS-K.
“The sooner we can finish the better,” said US President Joe Biden on the subject as he spoke after a meeting with the G-7 leaders, in Washington DC on Tuesday.
