I shot a video with orchids two days ago, now they are already sitting in pots and deciding whether to live or not to live.
In the comments, they wrote to me that after buying orchids, it is better not to touch them for a week or two, but let them adapt to the situation. I don’t know, it’s probably about healthy orchids, and not about markdowns in poor condition with rotten roots.
Well, in general, personally, in my opinion, it is better to cause all the stress at once (shop, purchase, transportation, transplant, pruning, processing), and leave the plant alone than torment it in portions with a weekend break.
Of course, everything is individual. In this case, if I hadn’t immediately removed the peat pots, the rot would have spread further.
I don’t know what will come of all this. Time will show.
