Wally Funk received astronaut wings during the post-flight press conference on 20 July 2021, following Blue Origin’s New Shepard successful flight into space. Blue Origin NS-16 was the first time the New Shepard capsule carried passengers to space: Wally Funk, Jeff Bezos, Mark Bezos and Oliver Daemen.
