TeleYemen has announced nationwide interruptions in satellite communications after one of its stations was bombed by Saudi-led coalition airstrikes, as seen in Sana’a on Monday.

According to the telecommunications company, the bombing took place on Monday morning at 01:30 local time (22:30, Sunday GMT).

The interior of the station appeared destroyed, with several parts of the roof collapsed and rubble covering the floor.

It is not yet clear if there were any casualties in the aftermath of the airstrikes.

According to a spokesperson for the coalition, the building was used by Houthi rebels to control drone strikes that took place on Thursday at Saudi’s Abha airport.
