Long Freight Stops For Manual Switch

I have to ask why the CN cannot automate these track switches? Video shows a very long freight train slowing down, and then stopping, at 17th Avenue in Broadview Illinois. One of the crewmen climbed down from the locomotive and threw the switch. After that, the train strats up again, and slowly moves on to the west. I managed to get several camera angles for this video. One of my Henchmen (#17) was with me and he was recording from the opposite side of the train. This video starts with a long slow power approach and then things start to happen.............
