Damage and debris marked the outskirts of Jalalabad on Tuesday after an eight-hour gunfight between Taliban forces and Islamic State militants.

The gunfight reportedly ensued after Taliban forces raided houses suspected to be IS hideouts. There is however growing concern, Taliban is carrying out operations against former police and intelligence officers.
