Protesters marched in Melbourne on Saturday against the vaccine mandates and the government response to COVID-19.

Along the route, protesters were close to the John Cain Arena, where the Australian Open is currently taking place.

In the past week, Australia recorded some 516,439 new COVID-19 cases and 422 related deaths, according to the Johns Hopkins University.
