Pro and anti-government protesters took to the streets of La Paz on Bolivia’s Democracy Day, on Sunday.

“We ask Bolivia not to stop under the influence of nefarious characters, and fascists. They are the ones who ask for the strike, the millionaires, the businessmen, the working people ask to work to continue with the economic apparatus of the country. We come from a pandemic that has done even more harm with these people who continue to want to harm the country, with unnecessary strikes undermining democracy, undermining the economy, undermining the working class,” said a pro-government protester while an anti-government protester demanded the release of political prisoners.
