Riot police and anti-government protesters clashed for the 5th consecutive week in Bangkok on Sunday.
Police deployed water cannons and tear gas against protesters in the Din Daeng district and reportedly made 78 arrests.
Thailand’s anti-government protest movement has been active since July of 2020, criticising Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-o-cha government’s handling of the economy and the COVID-19 pandemic.
