Hundreds of protesters clashed with the police near the residence of Thai Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-o-cha in Bangkok’s Din Daeng district, Monday.
Riot police used tear gas to disperse demonstrators and made a series of arrests.
Protesters of the youth-led group ‘Thalu Gas’ were asking for the resignation of Chan-o-cha, two days after the government survived another vote of no-confidence in the Thai Parliament.
Thailand’s anti-government protest movement has been active since July of 2020, criticising the government’s handling of the economy and the COVID-19 pandemic.
