Canada: Fishermen help stranded locals during devastating British Columbia floods

Fishermen and boaters have been helping locals stranded in their homes in Chilliwack, British Columbia, as seen in footage filmed on Monday.
The fishermen can be seen travelling by boat along what used to be a functioning intersection and helping a citizen who is stuck in his submerged house by transporting his belongings into safety in plastic carrier bags.
The Canadian Pacific coast has been hit by flooding and mudslides caused by record-breaking rainfall. The area has been declared under a state of emergency with one woman found dead and more expected fatalities. The federal government has said it will send in air force to assist with evacuating surviving residents.
