Two trains collided in the Czech town of Milavce, near Pilsen, on Wednesday, leaving at least three dead and several people injured.

According to initial reports from local media, a passenger train and a technical vehicle collided between the Domazlice and Blizejov stations.

Firefighters could be seen attempting to clear the wreckage at the scene of the crash.

Czech Transport Minister Karel Havlicek said on Twitter that human error appeared to be responsible for the crash, saying that the express train appeared not to have stopped at a stop signal.
