‘Dramatic Drone Footage of Anti-Coup Protesters Defying Myanmar Military Crackdown’

Myanmar’s ousted leader Aung San Suu Kyi has appeared in court via video link as protesters returned to the streets after the bloodiest day of the military coup.

A violent crackdown on demonstrations saw 18 killed on Sunday as members of the military and police fired live rounds into crowds.

Today protesters used bamboo poles, sofas and tree branches to build barricades as they marched in Yangon.

Police used tear gas and water cannon to repel demonstrators and they were reports of shots fired, though it was unclear whether they were live ammunition or rubber bullets.
