Quito ordered ‘urgent’ cleanup operations after a burst of a private operator pipeline caused a crude oil spill in the Ecuadorian Amazon, as seen in the footage released by the Ecuadorian Ministry of Environment on Sunday.
The ministerial teams arrived at the so-called Piedra Fina sector, near the city of Manuel Galino in the Napo province to assess the damage and begin the clearing operation.
