One hundred seventy-six migrants rescued in various operations by the ‘Aita Mari’ humanitarian ship, disembarked in Lampedusa on Sunday.
The boat by the NGO ‘Salvamento Marítimo Humanitario’ had been expecting the authorisation to dock at the port following days of a strong storm.
According to the NGO, there were 18 women and 42 minors on the rescue ship, 23 migrants tested positive for COVID.
