About fifty Fiji peacekeepers landed in an Australian C-130 Hercules plane at Honiara airport to join Australian-led peacekeeping forces amid anti-government unrest on the Solomon Islands.

The barbed wire entanglements marked the security situation on the Solomon Islands. The C-130 plane landed on the runway at Henderson International Airport. Soldiers disembarked from the aircraft and proceeded to the terminal.

Recent violent protests against the government in the Solomon Islands resulted in four deaths, prompting Australia to send police and soldiers to maintain order.
