France: Father killed, baby and mother rescued following suspected gas explosion

A man’s body was recovered following a suspected gas explosion in Sanary-sur-Mer in southern France on Tuesday.

His baby and the child’s mother have been rescued, while two others remain missing. The building itself was also leveled in the incident.

The child and mother are in hospital receiving care. The mother is said to be in a serious condition.

Footage shows rescue teams working with machinery while onlookers record footage on mobile phones.
