Paris Saint-Germain fans gathered outside Parc des Princes stadium in Paris on Saturday ahead of its first game after Lionel Messi joined the club.

The Argentine football star signed a two-year deal with the option of a third at the Ligue 1 club after his 21-year stay at Barcelona came to an end.​​

The match was not expected to become his debut but an occasion for the presentation of the Ballon d’Or winner.
