Germany: Bavarian clinic lights rooms with COVID cases with red light

The RoMed Clinic in Rosenheim has resorted to marking patients’ rooms with either red or white light to indicate the cases present at the establishment, making the proportion of COVID cases visible from outside the building, as seen on Wednesday.
As cases surge throughout Bavaria and the whole of Germany amid the fourth wave of the pandemic, the clinic is making a statement by marking the rooms of COVID-19 patients with red light, which considered to be more relaxing and comfortable.
Last week, Germany registered over 400,000 new confirmed cases. Before the current wave, the highest number of new cases in a week was 164,000 in late 2020.
