Germany: Evacuated Afghans arrive at Ramstein Air Base

Footage showed locals in a field watching the planes landing, as well as the airbase itself.
Thousands of people have tried to flee Afghanistan since August 15 when Kabul fell to the Taliban, as Afghans fear reprisals and a return to authoritarian rule. Around 7,000 are currently staying at the US airbase while they await flights elsewhere.
