Bundestag candidate Thomas Lindlmair was seen campaigning on the streets of Berlin on Thursday. He has recently made headlines for being the first-ever candidate without a permanent address to run for a Bundestag seat.
While not homeless, Lindlmair lives in short-term rentals and is between moving apartments. According to him, the lack of a permanent address does not disqualify a person from seeking to run in an election. However, there are certainly more hurdles in the way as a result. “That I can candidate for it became very quickly clear by the Federal Returning Officer.
