Scholz also underlined that he would aim for a gender balanced cabinet with hafl the posts occupied by women.

OT, Olaf Scholz, Social Democratic Party (SPD) chancellor candidate (German): “When it comes to the coalition, I want to say clearly, the most important coalition for me is the one between the voters and me, because the stronger you are making the SPD, the easier it will be for me to form a government. I dont know that clearly what is possible, but maybe it will be possible to form a government out of SPD and the Greens, but we will see.”

SOT, Olaf Scholz, Social Democratic Party (SPD) chancellor candidate (German): “I want to form a government, where the ministers are able to do there job well, half of it should be woman the other half men, that is very important for me, as I think that it is simply good.”

SOT, Olaf Scholz, Social Democratic Party (SPD) chancellor candidate (German): “I have made up my mind, and want to be judged on it, I want to make it so those who are working very hard and earn very little will have it a little bit better, and therefore we want to raise the minimum wage to €12, in the first year of the new government, which would mean a pay raise for 10 million citizens in Germany.”

SOT, Olaf Scholz, Social Democratic Party (SPD) chancellor candidate (German): “One of the principals, and I want to say that clearly, that the inviolability of borders will be respected always and I think this is something where we need a new commitment to it, because in this case it has been violated by Russia, and for me it is important to achieve it because not the power but the law has to determine the with each other, so that we are secure in this question.”
