Tensions ran high in Magdeburg on Monday during the weekly anti-corona demo.

Hundreds marched through the city centre and booed police during the unregistered “walk.”

Protestors could be seen insulting and shouting at police. Officers detained a couple of demonstrators.

Monday demonstrations were tradition in East Germany between 1989 and 1991, often attracting tens of thousands of anti-government protesters, and sometimes hundreds of thousands.
