Hundreds of football fans took to the streets of Tehran on Thursday after the country became the first Asian nation to qualify for the 2022 World Cup.
Crowds were seen waving Iranian flags and blowing vuvuzelas in celebration, with drivers beeping their horns as they passed by.
Iran secured its place in November’s World Cup finals in Qatar after a 1-0 victory over Iraq.
The national team has won 13 of its last 14 football games, with the remaining match ending in a draw.

God willing, I hope we will go to the World Cup and win the games in the group, and that we win the games in the best possible way and reach the final game.”
