Israel: Border guards install checkpoints in hunt for escaped Palestinian prisoners

Israeli border guards could be seen checking papers as people crossed the border between Muqeibila, Israel and the West Bank on Monday, in an effort to locate Palestinian prisoners, who escaped from nearby Gilboa prison on Monday morning.

Palestinian queued up on the Israeli side of the border to have their papers checked by military and police personnel, in an effort to return to their home in Jenin, Palestine.

Israeli authorities have reported that six Palestinian militants escaped in total, apparently through a tunnel.
