The number of antibodies found in patients that have received their fourth vaccine against COVID-19, has increased almost five-fold, stated Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett in Ramat Gan on Tuesday.

Speaking at the Sheba Medical Centre, Bennet said, “The initial results from the study of the fourth vaccine tells us that within a week from administration of the 4th dose, there is an increase by almost 5 times in the level of antibodies.”

“The Omicron storm is increasing. We have bought five weeks of time, during which the State of Israel has been prepared,” he continued.

His statements came as the prime minister was visiting a hospital, to examine the progress of preparations regarding an expected increase of patients in the coming days and weeks due to the Omicron variant.

Nearly 11,000 new patients were recorded with coronavirus on Tuesday.
