Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett gave a speech during the weekly cabinet meeting in Jerusalem on Sunday during which he warned of the challenges the country’s healthcare will face as COVID-19 cases continues to rise.

“In addition to the expected patient load in hospitals, we must not forget that a situation with tens of thousands of confirmed cases every day is logistically difficult to manage. These are numbers the world has never seen and neither have we,” said Bennett.

During the speech he also discussed recent Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) attacks on Hamas.

“The Israeli Air Force attacked yesterday night a series of targets. A rocket production facility in Khan Younis, and in addition the IDF attacked a number of Hamas outposts on the border with the Strip. These strikes are in retaliation for the rocket fire yesterday from the Gaza Strip into the Mediterranean Sea,” confirmed Bennett.
