Italy: Drone footage captures Alps with lack of snow at start of new year

Drone footage from the Mottarone summit captured almost snow-less Alps as temperatures continued to rise above 10 degrees Celsius.
The unusually warm weather, as seen on Saturday, has brought warnings of avalanches, and is expected to last until Monday.
The record breaking warm temperature is also too warm for artificial snow.
Temperatures reaching up to 17 degrees Celsius at 1,500 metres altitude today, were also recorded in France and Spain.
