A powerful explosion destroyed a cafe in Kazakhstan’s Aktau, the press service of the emergencies department of the Mangistau region reported on Sunday.
Emergency operations were ongoing in aftermath of the explosion.
“Under unknown circumstances, an explosion occurred, the building was destroyed completely. No data about casualties is available,” the emergencies department statement said.
According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the cafe was closed when the explosion occurred. The regional authorities also stated that no one asked for medical help.
