LIVE: Michel, VdL hold press conference after European Council meeting

EU leaders Charles Michel and Ursula von der Leyen are set to give a press conference in Brussels on Thursday, December 16, after a sitting of the European Council.
The meeting will be focused on the EU’s COVID-19 response, the migrant crisis on Poland’s border with Belarus and topics concerning security and energy. Russia’s military presence along Ukraine’s border also features on the agenda.

This will be the first EU Council for Olaf Scholz in the role of German Chancellor.
