Satellite photos show towns on Madagascar’s west coast before and after the impact of Cyclone Batsirai, which has killed at least 20 people over the weekend.
Extensive damage could be seen in the towns of Mananjary, Nosy-Varika and Ambohitsara.
Nearly 50,000 people were displaced as entire villages were reportedly swept away by the cyclone, which brought winds of 235km/h (146mph).
