Migrants were seen attempting to climb on top of trains in Tierra Blanca, Sunday, in attempts to reach other areas.

The group of migrants were previously on board a caravan from Tapachula, which has been stranded for four days due to government restrictions preventing the vehicles from crossing the northern border.

As a result, many migrants have opted to scale local trains to continue on their journeys, leading authorities to order that trains be halted in the area.

“The truth is that the federal government should give them the opportunity to reach Mexico City and the truth is that these people have suffered enough,” said activist Irinero Mujica.

Groups of migrants had also attempted to block roads, hoping for the government to lift travel restrictions.

The migrants are primarily from Central America and Haiti, with many aiming to eventually reach the US.
