Morocco: Israel's Gantz signs first defence MOU with Arab country in Rabat

Israeli Defence Minister Benny Gantz visited Rabat on Wednesday to sign the country’s first defense memorandum of understanding (MOU) with an Arab nation.

Gantz could be seen meeting his Moroccan counterpart Abdellatif Loudiyi, before paying respects at the tombs of tombs of Muhammad V and Hassan II, where the agreement was signed.
The MOU consolidated defense tied between the two countries, allowing easier communication between their respective defence ministries.

The trip marks the second state visit by an Israeli official. On Thursday, Gantz will visit the city’s Talmud Torah synagogue, before returning to Israel.
