Pakistan: No refugee crisis at Torkham crossing, says Interior Minister

Pakistan’s Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed denied media reports of a refugee crisis while visiting Torkham crossing on the border with Afghanistan on Sunday.
“There is no refugee camp, people can arrive in normal way, going back normal and the Indian propaganda is saying rubbish that thousands refugees are crossing, it is irresponsible and immoral of them,” said the minister.
He said the situation in Afghanistan was like to shift the regional politics after the Taliban takeover.
“It is my wish, my political thought and analysis that this region is becoming important. Possibly, I am using the phrase “possibly” a new block is emerging in the world,” said the official.
The official visited the crossing to assess the security situation.
