Patients were treated outside the Caritas Medical Centre in Hong Kong on Tuesday following a surge in COVID-19 cases linked to the Omicron variant.
The local medical emergency units have been overloaded by the fifth wave of the pandemic which has led to over 8,000 new cases since the end of December in the city and special administrative region of China.
On Tuesday, authorities reported more than 1,600 confirmed cases and 5,400 suspected infections.
