Hundreds of migrants approached the town of Kuznica located in Podlaskie Voivodeship, from Belarus, on Monday.

A heavy police presence has been called in, amid fears of escalation.

Tensions between the EU and Belarus have been escalating in recent months, with the EU accusing Belarussian President Alexander Lukashenko of deliberately sending migrants over the border in response to sanctions imposed by the EU.
