‘Proud Boys Leader JAILED’

The leader of far-right extremist group Proud Boys has been sentenced to five months in jail for burning a Black Lives Matter banner that had been torn from a historic Black church, and for bringing high-capacity magazines to Washington DC days before the Capitol attack.

Enrique Tarrio, 37, told the court he was “profusely” sorry for his actions, calling them a “grave mistake”. The judge said Tarrio’s expressions of remorse were “not credible”.
