Russian President Vladimir Putin played hockey with his Belarusian counterpart Alexander Lukashenko after three-hour talks in St. Petersburg on Wednesday.
Putin and Lukashenko, who play in the same team under number 11 and number 1 took to the ice in white uniforms. According to media reports, in the first few minutes of the match, the “white” team scored four goals, and their opponents in red scored one goal.
The ice hockey match took place in the ice palace of the Manezh children’s and youth sports school in Strelna. In addition to the leaders of Russia and Belarus, ex-champions took part in the game. The match ended with a score of 18-7 in favour of the whites. Putin scored seven goals, and Lukashenka scored two goals.
Earlier, in February 2020, Putin and Lukashenko also played as part of the same team in a friendly hockey match that took place at the Galaktika entertainment centre on Krasnaya Polyana.
