Putin considers taking companies leaving Russia under external management

Russian President Vladimir Putin endorsed a possible transfer of foreign production facilities leaving the country under external management as he held a video conference with the members of the Russian government.

“Those who are going to close down their production facilities - here we have to act decisively to avoid any harm to local, Russian suppliers”, Putin stressed.

“It is then necessary, as the Prime Minister suggested, to introduce external management and transfer these enterprises to those who want to work. There are enough legal and market instruments. We should avoid any arbitrary actions”, he concluded.
