Bavaria’s Minister-President Markus Soder is set to give a press conference in Munich on the ongoing COVID-19 situation, on Tuesday, November 30. The briefing follows a meeting on the COVID crisis earlier in the day between the prime ministers of the federal states, and Angela Merkel and her successor as German chancellor Olaf Scholz.
On November 23, the Bavarian cabinet approved tighter rules, which have been in force since November 24, and are set to stay in place until at least December 15.

Among the measures introduced, the 3G rule now applies on public transport and in workplaces: people must be either vaccinated, recovered or tested. Moreover, the 2G plus rule is to be applicable in gastronomy and accommodation, as well as at cultural, recreational and sporting events.
