Three Dagestan districts were flooded due to heavy rains as the local Ministry of Transport and Road Facilities stated on Friday.

Footage filmed in Tsumadinsky District shows a river overflowing its banks. The water came close to residential buildings and industrial areas.

According to the Ministry, more than 15 units of heavy equipment are involved in emergency operations. Traffic on the damaged roads will be restored from September 26 to October 1.

The Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations announced a storm warning in the coastal regions of Dagestan. Rescuers were sent to the affected areas “to assess the situation and provide assistance to the population.”
