Slovakia: Hundreds of Ukrainian refugees arrive at makeshift camp at border town

Hundreds of Ukrainian refugees were relocated to the makeshift camp in the border town of Vysne Nemecke on Monday.

Volunteers were seen organising basic aid packages, and services were set up, such as collection points for food and clothes for the arriving refugees and tents and portable toilets.

Meanwhile, the conflict in Ukraine enters the sixth day since the start of the military attack of Russia in Ukraine on February 24.

Reportedly, half a million Ukrainians have fled the country, and Slovakia, as one of its immediate neighbours, has been channelling help and emergency accommodations to those arriving daily through the border with Ukraine.
