Romania: Volunteers in border crossing welcome Ukrainian refugees fleeing war

Dozens of volunteers gathered at the Romania-Ukrainian border, next to the city of Isaccea to offer humanitarian relief to Ukrainian refugees fleeing the war, on Monday.

The refugees were seen crossing the borders by foot or with cars, while volunteers were offering them clothes, food, water and blankets.

The refugees expressed their anger and sadness for the war, who started when the Russian army invaded Ukraine last week, after years long tensions between the two countries.

“I’m very sad and I’m very angry, because I love my country, I love my family, my husband, my parents stay at home in Ukraine and I don’t want this war,” said a female Ukrainian refugee.
