A lava flow continued to reach the sea from the Cumbre Vieja volcano in La Palma on Tuesday.

The flow first reached the sea on Monday, in the third incident of its kind since the volcano first erupted on the island of La Palma more than two months ago, on September 19.

Lava first reached the sea at the end of September and the second incident occurred just a few days ago.

After a period of 64 days, the volcanic eruption remains stable, although the island’s airport remains closed due to the danger posed by volcanic ash.
