A new lava emission point opened in the early hours of Saturday, on the northeast slope of the Cumbre Vieja volcano cone on La Palma, as seen on Saturday and Sunday from the surroundings of Tacande.

Large clouds of smoke rose into the air from the new center emitting incandescent pyroclasts, as seismic activity increased on the island, where more than 50 tremors with magnitudes of 3.5 were recorded on Saturday night, according to the IGN (National Geographic Institute).
